Get to know Feraz

“…He kept the energy high, got real laughs, and made sure everyone was having a good time from start to finish.” - P & Y

Feraz Shere is a New York based stand-up comedian, writer, and impressionist. Feraz has been passed at iconic venues all over New York City, including Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, West Side, Rodney’s and even the L Train (this guy will do anything for stage time!). He also produces monthly shows in collaboration with Soho House and The TwentyTwo.

Feraz was born in Winnipeg, Canada, to Indian parents (his father was one of the first five Indians to immigrate to Winnipeg - imagine the inter-generational trauma!). Needless to say Feraz, had a bit of an identity crisis growing up, and he brings a unique voice to the stage. His act brings people together; his political impressions of Trump, Mamdani, Obama, Newsom, Bernie, Joe Rogan, Tucker Carlson, Ben Shapiro, Candace Owens and other celebrities are so funny you’ll forget if you’re a Democrat, a Republican, or how much you hate politics altogether! Maybe he should speak at Congress! Feraz also blends in personal experiences about growing up in Canada, having demanding Indian parents, adjusting to having a therapist wife, living in the shadow of older siblings, and looking racially ambiguous. Geez, talk about RANGE!

Feraz’s comedy career started when he was studying chemical engineering at the University of Toronto, but then discovered he had a personality. He decided to hit an open mic in Toronto many years ago, and now, he’s performing prime time shows all over New York City and the iconic Yuk Yuk’s in Canada (full circle, as they say!). Feraz was also the lead comedian in the New York Emmy winning documentary “Make Comedians Great Again”,has been featured in The New York Times, who said he’s a a “comic who specializes in impressions and spot-on caricatures of both President Obama and President Trump”, and The Indian Express, who said he’s “a hit online”. He was also named “Funniest Person in Finance” (even some guys in Patagonia vests can be funny) by Gotham Comedy Club. He’s performed at Jimmy Kimmel Live as an audience member (and crushed it!) and numerous other corporate events and charity events around the city.

Weddings, charity galas, corporate events, podcasts, comedy clubs — give Feraz a crowd, and he’ll keep them laughing.
